No prior knowledge in German language is required to enrol for this level. At this level focus of the course will be on basic grammar and vocabulary, basic conversation with correct Pronunciation and writing, introduce self and others, make appointments, learn to count and pronounce numbers etc. which are used in day to day life scenarios

Prerequisite: Level A1 - Beginner

Students will learn to comprehend frequently used expressions related to the basic communication such as shopping, family information, employment etc. At this level, the learners would be able to describe about themselves, their background, interests and profession in simple sentences.

Prerequisite: A2 level – Elementary

On completion of this level, the students would be proficient in the fundamentals of German grammar. Reading and comprehension of simple German text would be enhanced. Focus at this level would be on the communication skill, giving importance to the correct pronunciation. Due weightage is given to the written skill using the grammar rules of the Language.

Prerequisite: Level B1 – Intermediate

Students in this level would be able to comprehend the main idea of a complex text. They would also be able to interact with the native speaker with better fluency. Their written ability is further enhanced and they can produce a clear and detailed text on a topic and explain their perception of the same.

Prerequisite: Level B2 - Upper Intermediate

Students at this level will be able to use German fluently to express themselves. They would be able to read and understand literary German, long essays and to a great extent abstract text. Their comfort in the language would make it easier for them to interact with the native speaker when in their region.

Prerequisite: Level C1 – Advanced

At this level the student would have mastered the German language. Along with mastering the language, the student would have an in depth knowledge of the culture and practices of Germany.
